PETALING JAYA: The mother of a missing seven-year-old Argentinian girl is seeking the help of Malaysians to locate her daughter, who was said to be kidnapped by her father.
Elisabeth Avalos, the mother of the missing girl, said Alum Langone Avalos was last seen in Kuala Pilah and was heading to Kulai, Johor.
The Argentinian embassy said Elisabeth' former partner was recently seen with their daughter in different locations here.
"Alum's parents separated and the mother, Elisabeth, was granted full custody. The father kidnapped Alum from her school and left Argentina illegally, said ambassador Manuel Balaguer Salas.
He said Elisabeth is in Malaysia in the hope to end her seven-month ordeal of being torn from her daughter.
He described the girl as 1.25m tall, with dark brown hair and green eyes.
He said the local authorities have been extremely cooperative and the embassy hopes that it will be able to locate Alum soon.
The ambassador urged the public or anyone with information leading to Alum's location to contact the embassy at 6012 2012464.
