KUALA LUMPUR: Police made a gruesome discovery when they found hacked-up body parts stuffed into two luggage bags on the riverbank of Sungai Gombak near Putra World Trade Centre here today.
The gory discovery was made by a worker who was watering plants nearby and spotted a leg sticking out of one of the bags.
He subsequently alerted the police who found body parts stuffed into the bags.
Upon further investigation, they found a third bag containing clothes within a 100m radius from the initial two bags.
City deputy Criminal Investigation Department (CID) (Intelligence and Operation) chief ACP Alzafny Ahmad, who confirmed the incident, earlier said investigations pertaining to the discovery are ongoing and the victims are still being identified.
In the first bag, police found hands, feet and a head while in the second bag was a torso.

"The sex and the identity of the victim or victims have yet to be ascertained. The body parts were wrapped in black plastic bags before being stuffed into the luggage bags," he said today.
The body parts have been sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) for post-mortem.
Rudy also added that the police already recorded statements from two men and a women, believed to be homeless, aged between 20 and 30, to assist in investigations.
