Volgograd, Russia (dpa) - Two England fans have arrived in Volgograd after riding some 3,800 kilometres by bike to watch England play at the World Cup.
Jamie Marriott and Mitchell Jones set off from the southern town of Emsworth on May 25 and pedalled through France, Germany, Poland and Ukraine to reach the southern Russian city just in time to see England play against Tunisia on Monday.
Apart from a few punctures and some poor weather along the way, everything went well, 28-year-old Marriott, an English teacher in Berlin, told British media on Sunday.
The two bike riders also have tickets for England's two other group matches, in Nizhny Novgorod and Kaliningrad. For these two matches they intend to travel by plane and train.
"The plan now is to ditch the bikes and have a few beers," Jones said.
