KUANTAN: A soon to be bridegroom who was on his way to have lunch with his fiancee before going to work, was killed in an accident when his motorcycle crashed head on with a lorry at KM9, Jalan Benta-Jerantut, today.
Lipis police chief Supt Ismail Man said during the 1pm accident, Ahmad Solihin Fazuni, 21, who was heading to Kuala Lumpur from Kota Bharu, Kelantan, died at the spot.
Ismail said initial investigations revealed that Ahmad Solihin was riding his motorcycle on a road that had sharp corners, before crashing head-on with a lorry that was coming from Jengka in Maran and heading to Gua Musang, Kelantan.
He added that the lorry driven by a 40-year-old was laden with oil palm.
“The victim from Kelantan who works as a barista in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur had intended to stopover at his fiancee’s house to have lunch before going to work,” he said when contacted today.
Ismail also urged anyone who had witnessed the incident to come forward and assist police investigation.
