Former Pontian KKBN director charged with dishonest misappropriation of RM11,315

JOHOR BARU: A former director of the Pontian National Youth Skills College (KKBN) pleaded not guilty in the sessions court here today to a charge with dishonest misappropriation of fund involving RM11,315 four years ago.
Zunaidah Abdul Razak, 56, made the plea before Judge Kamaruddin Kamsun.
The woman, then as Pontian KKBN director, was charged with dishonestly misappropriating the money, which was the allocation for students' allowance and administration of the college, by converting it for her own use.
The offence was allegedly committed at CIMB Bank Berhad, Pontian Kechil near Pontian on May 28, 2014.
The offence, under Section 403 of the Penal Code, provides an imprisonment for up to five years and whipping, and is liable to fine, if found guilty.
The court allowed her bail of RM10,000 in one surety and set Nov 22 for the mention.
The prosecution was conducted by prosecuting officer from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Norsyarina Raizan, while Zunaidah, who is now a housewife, was unrepresented. — Bernama
