GUA MUSANG: The Gua Musang-Lojing road in Kampung Jedip that was closed following a mudslide yesterday, has been re-opened to traffic.
Gua Musang District Public Works Department (PWD) engineer Fadhlil Wafi Nordin said the mudslide stretching along a 70m route was due to land clearing activities in the nearby hills.
"As of 11am today, the cleaning work is still ongoing," he told reporters here today.
Kampung Orang Asli Pos Brooke Development and Security Committee chairman, Kamal Rami said it was the third time a mudslide had occurred since January.
He said the mudslide was caused from a hill near Kampung Jedip being cleared by vegetable farmers since last year," he said. — Bernama
