PETALING JAYA: Fugitive Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos has possibly escaped to Indonesia through illegal channels and Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun has engaged with his counterpart in Indonesia to track him down.
"He can say whatever he wants, but I want to him remind that arrest warrants are waiting for him," the Inspector-General of Police told reporters after launching the Ops Selamat 13/2018, here today.
Mohamad Fuzi added that instead of distributing videos of himself to the media, he should be cooperating with the police and turn himself in.
"We believe his days being free out there is outnumbered. I have contacted my Indonesian counterpart and we will get him soon," he said.
Jamal, had gone into hiding after disappearing from Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital on May 25.
Last Thursday, police issued an arrest warrant against him for failing to appear to assist an investigation into his case.
