PETALING JAYA: All Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTM) train services affected by a snapped electrical cable, will be fully restored by Monday as repair works are being carried out between the Rawang and Kuang stations.
KTM Berhad (KTMB) said its Komuter train service was using a single rail track between the two stations from Saturday till today.
"The KTM Komuter service for Seremban - Batu Caves - Seremban route will operate with a frequency delay between 10 to 20 minutes, while the Port Klang-Tanjung Malim-Port Klang route will operate with a frequency delay of between 30 minutes and 45 minutes.
"The Electric Train Service (ETS) will be experiencing delays between 90 minutes to 2 hours," KTMB said in a statement here today.
On Saturday morning, the KTM train services suffered a major disruption after an electrical cable snapped about 11.30am at KM361.76 on the tracks between the Rawang and Kuang stations, causing closure to both of the rail tracks.
Work on getting the single track to operate again was completed at 5am, yesterday.
