Lafarge Malaysia rises 3.11% on new contract win

    PETALING JAYA: Lafarge Malaysia Bhd's share price rose 14 sen or 3.11% this morning, after it bagged a RM270 million contract to supply cement to China Communications Construction (ECRL) Sdn Bhd for the proposed East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project.
    At 11.25 am, the stock, which was the third top gainer, stood at RM4.64 with 178,100 shares changing hands. It has a market capitalisation of RM3.95 billion.
    "The contract is from now until Dec 31, 2019 with the option for parties to renew the contract for a further two years, subject to mutually-agreed renewal terms and conditions," it told the stock exchange yesterday.
