KUALA LUMPUR: Gan Hua Wei-Zylane Lee Yhing Huey failed to defend the SEA Games synchronised swimming duet technical routine gold medal at the National Aquatic Centre, Bukit Jalil today.
The newly-formed pair had to settle for the silver after amassing  74.3659 points. Zyalane who is the senior of the two paired up with Yhing Huey after her former partner Katrina Ann Abdul Hadi retired.         
Singapore’s  Miya Yong Hsing-Debbie Soh Li Fei took the gold after collecting 75.1791 points while.
Anisa Feritrianti-Claudia Megawati Suyanto of Indonesia settled for the bronze with 68.9504 points.
In the Singapore SEA  Games two years ago,  Zylane and Katrina Ann had won the gold.
Yesterday, Hua Wei had brought much cheer for the national contingent when she won the gold in the solo technical routine while Zylane bagged a silver in the free solo routine. — Bernama
