Miri City starts preparations for Visit Miri Year 2018

MIRI: Preparations for Visit Miri Year 2018 kicked off today with a large scale programme focusing on business premises in Miri City particularly food outlets.
Miri Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang said the operation named "Ops Patuh 10" would check on licence,  cleanliness,illegal extension and renovation of food outlets.
"A total of 50 personnel from various sections under the Miri City Council (MCC), police and Health Department are taking part in the operation," he told reporters at the launch of "Ops Patuh 10" here today.
Yii said the operation would be the first of many series of operations to ensure food outlet operators in Miri City adhered to the regulations set by MCC especially on cleanliness.
"Under the "Ops Patuh 10" a total of four zones in Miri City would be inspected by them," he said adding that operations on illegal cyber gambling would be conducted but would be a separate operation from "Ops Patuh 10". — Bernama
