GEORGE TOWN: Penang may lose it's status as the investment centre for the country if the DAP-led government continues its confrontational attitude towards the Federal Government, said Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan (pix).
Abdul Rahman said foreign investors are only keen to invest in businesses with regions that are in the same wavelength as the Federal Government.
He said many other states can overtake Penang in terms of foreign investments, especially the Iskandar region in Johor.
Penang, he warned, will be left out if the DAP-led state government continues it attack against Putrajaya.
"If the state government continues to practise political lies and hatred, they might loose investors and this is not good for the future of Penang", he said in his speech during the opening of the Bukit Gelugor Umno divisional meeting at Equatorial Hotel, here today.
