PKR opposes Palestinian-Israeli conflict, US embassy relocation to Jerusalem

KUALA LUMPUR: The PKR has strongly opposed the decision of the United States (US) to officially open its embassy in Jerusalem yesterday.
Its secretary-general, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said doing so would not only affect regional stability but also security, in finding a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
"PKR hopes Malaysia under the government of Pakatan Harapan, can work closely with all partners in its efforts to find a just and lasting solution to the conflict," he said in a statement here today.
Fifty-five Palestinians were the latest victims of Israeli presence on the Gaza border after fighting broke out following the US Embassy relocation to Jerusalem.
"The attacks have shown yet again to the international community that the Israeli army is cruel and has no respect for human life or international law," said Saifuddin, adding that it must be stopped immediately. — Bernama
