SUNGAI PETANI: Penang Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) chief Marzuki Yahya will stand in the BN stronghold seat of Tasek Gelugor in the upcoming 14th general election (GE14).
The former national Umno youth exco made the announcement himself during an event at Kelab Cinta Sayang,near here.
Marzuki also announced Yaacob Othman as the candidate to contest the Penaga state seat.
Yaacob, 53, is the party information chief and also the younger brother to the outgoing Penang Umno chief Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Othman.
Former cabinet minister and Penang Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Sharif Omar has been picked to contest in the Permatang Berangan state seat.
Businessman Zulkiply Md Lazim and lawyer Khaliq Mehtab Mohd Ishaq will contest the in Teluk Bahang and Bertam state seats respectively.
