Razali is appointed Datuk Shahbandar Luak Ulu Muar

KUALA PILAH: Razali Ahmad, 63, is appointed as the 'Datuk Shahbandar' of the Ulu Muar district while Suhaimi Ibrahim, 48, is made the 'Datuk Bentara Kanan' of Istana Besar Seri Menanti in a ceremony in Tanjung Ipoh, here today.
The appointment ceremony and declaration of the duo as holders of the inheritance (penyandang pesaka) and officials of Istana Besar Seri Menanti took place at the Balai Penghulu Ulu Muar district.
Razali was appointed to replace Rosli Abd Rahman who died in April while Suhaimi was appointed to replace Ibrahim Ujang who died in 2015.
The two appointments were declared by the Penghulu of Ulu Muar district, Datuk Bendahara Setia Maharaja, Maharaja Lela Pahlawan Datuk Mansor Yusof and witnessed by other customs dignitaries.
Razali, a Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) pensioner, was born on June 10, 1954, and is second of eight siblings while Suhaimi, a contractor, who was born on July 19, 1969, in Kampung Gementir, Kuala Pilah, is the fifth of eight children. — Bernama
