KUCHING: The Sarawak government will work with the Pakatan Harapan federal government for the continued development of the state, especially in terms of infrastructure development, according to Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
He said the state government emphasised comprehensive development, including in the rural areas, so that the people could feel and enjoy the development together.
"At the briefing for (visiting) Tun Dr Mahathir (Mohamad) this morning, the Prime Minister gave several proposals for the development of the state.
"At the same time, he (Dr Mahathir) was impressed with and proud of the achievement and development Sarawak has attained," he said to reporters after having seen off Dr Mahathir and his wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali at the Kuching International Airport, following their two-day visit to Kuching.
Abang Johari said the Sarawak and federal governments would continue to work together despite their varying political ideologies. — Bernama
