This was followed by the recitation of a poem titled 'Pahlawanku' by ASP Pathu Rahman Esa from the Royal Malaysia Police and Lt Siti Norashikin Yusof from the Malaysian Armed Forces.
Sultan Sharafuddin later laid a wreath at the Memorial to honour those who died defending the country's sovereignty. Tengku Amir, Amirudin, Mohd Radzi and Mazlan also laid wreaths.
The 'Rouse' was then sounded, during which the Jalur Gemilang was raised as a sign of motivation to members of the police and armed forces to continue defending the sovereignty and security of the country.
