Septuagenarian was bludgeoned to death during robbery: Police

ALOR STAR: The cause of death of a septuagenarian woman during a robbery at a house in Taman Malaysia yesterday, was due to a blow with a blunt object on the back of the head.
Kedah CID chief, SAC Mior Farid Al Athrash Wahid said this was based on a post-mortem on Kau Fu Eng, 71, at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital here this afternoon.
"The post-mortem was completed at 2.45pm. The victim was found to have sustained injuries on the back of the head after she was believed to have been struck with a blunt object," he said in a statement, here today.
In the incident at 5.45pm, Kau was found dead on a bed in a room by her daughter and granddaughter. She had also sustained strangulation marks.
Mior Farid said the case was classified as a murder. — Bernama
