TM's shares up on higher third quarter earnings

PETALING JAYA: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM), whose net profit rose 32.5% in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2017, saw its share price rise 0.33% this morning.
At 10.37am, its share price was 0.33% or 2 sen higher at RM6.02 with a total of 43,400 shares traded. TM’s share price fell 15 sen or 2.4% to RM6 yesterday, with 4.4 million shares traded.
During the quarter, TM’s net profit rose 32.5% to RM211.82 million against RM159.84 million in the previous corresponding period, due to forex gain.
Revenue for quarter under review rose slightly by 0.6% from RM2.92 billion to RM2.94 billion.
