Empat pegawai ditahan SPRM Johor disyaki terlibat rasuah pasport

JOHOR BAHRU: Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) Johor hari ini menahan empat orang pegawai penguat kuasa kerana disyaki menerima rasuah kira-kira RM3,000 bagi kegiatan pasport terbang.

Menurut sumber keempat-empat suspek lelaki yang berusia dalam lingkungan 20 hingga 40-an itu, ditahan di pejabat SPRM Johor hari ini.

“Dua suspek utama telah ditahan Unit Pematuhan Agensi Kawalan dan Perlindungan Sempadan (AKPS) semasa pemeriksaan dilakukan di kaunter semalam dan kemudiannya diserahkan kepada SPRM.

“Susulan penahanan tersebut dua lagi pegawai penguat kuasa telah ditahan kerana disyaki bersubahat dalam kegiatan pasport terbang ini,” katanya.

Beliau berkata semasa penahan dilakukan semalam, sebanyak 14 pasport warga asing, empat unit telefon bimbit milik kedua-dua suspek utama dan juga wang rasuah bernilai kira-kira RM3,000 telah ditemukan.

“Siasatan awal mendapati wang tunai dan telefon bimbit itu mempunyai kaitan dengan transaksi rasuah melibatkan kegiatan pasport terbang.

“Bagi setiap satu pasport yang dicop tanpa kehadiran pemilik pasport, kesemua suspek akan menerima wang rasuah bernilai kira-kira RM200,” katanya.

Sementara itu, Timbalan Pengarah Operasi (TPO) SPRM Johor Hairul Ilham Hamzah ketika dihubungi mengesahkan penahanan tersebut dan berkata, kes disiasat di bawah Seksyen 17(a) Akta SPRM 2009.

Beliau berkata kesemua suspek akan di bawa ke Mahkamah Johor Bahru, esok untuk permohonan reman – BERNAMA
