Gempa bumi sederhana 5.8 skala Richter berlaku di utara Laut Maluku, Indonesia. Tiada ancaman tsunami kepada Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR: Satu gempa bumi sederhana berukuran 5.8 pada skala Richter telah dikesan berlaku di utara Laut Maluku, Indonesia.

Gempa bumi itu berlaku pada pukul 8.21 malam semalam di koordinat 1.5 darjah utara dan 126.4 darjah timur.

Pusat gempa itu berada pada kedalaman 10 kilometer.

Ia terletak kira-kira 131 kilometer ke timur Bitung, Indonesia.

Jabatan Meteorologi Malaysia (MetMalaysia) mengesahkan tiada ancaman tsunami kepada Malaysia susulan kejadian itu. – Bernama
