Inkues kes kematian Zara Qairina bermula esok di Mahkamah Koroner

KOTA KINABALU: Inkues bagi menentukan punca kematian pelajar Tingkatan Satu Zara Qairina Mahathir akan bermula esok di Mahkamah Koroner di sini.

Prosiding selama sembilan belas hari itu dijadualkan berlangsung dari 3 hingga 4 September, 8 hingga 12 September, 17 hingga 19 September serta 22 hingga 30 September.

Hakim Mahkamah Sesyen Amir Shah Amir Hassan akan mempengerusikan inkues tersebut dalam kapasitinya sebagai koroner.

Sebanyak tujuh puluh saksi termasuk pakar patologi yang menjalankan bedah siasat akan dipanggil memberi keterangan sepanjang prosiding inkues.

Timbalan Ketua Pendakwaan II Datuk Badius Zaman Ahmad akan mengendalikan prosiding bersama lima timbalan pendakwa raya yang lain.

Zara Qairina yang berusia tiga belas tahun disahkan meninggal dunia di Hospital Queen Elizabeth pada 17 Julai lepas.

Remaja itu sebelum itu dimasukkan ke hospital selepas ditemukan tidak sedarkan diri dalam longkang berhampiran asrama sekolahnya di Papar.

Beliau ditemukan dalam keadaan tidak sedar pada pukul empat pagi 16 Julai berhampiran asrama sekolahnya.

Jabatan Peguam Negara mengarahkan inkues dilakukan pada 13 Ogos selepas meneliti laporan siasatan polis.

Pada 8 Ogos, AGC memaklumkan kubur Zara Qairina perlu digali semula bagi membolehkan bedah siasat dijalankan ke atas jenazah pelajar berkenaan. – Bernama
