Kuartet 4x400m lelaki negara mara ke final Deaflympics 2025

 Kuartet 4x400m lelaki negara layak ke final Deaflympics 2025 selepas tiga pasukan lawan tersingkir, catat masa 3:33.94s di Tokyo

TOKYO: Kuartet 4×400 meter (m) lelaki negara mara ke final Deaflympics 2025 menerusi peluang kedua yang tidak dijangka.

Mereka menamatkan lihan di tempat ketiga bagi saringan kedua dengan catatan 3 minit 33.94 saat.

Kedudukan asal mereka adalah kelima sebelum tiga pasukan lawan tersingkir daripada pertandingan.

Brazil tidak menamatkan perlumbaan manakala Amerika Syarikat dan Venezuela hilang kelayakan.

Muhammad Shahrul Azmer mengakui sukar mempercayai kejayaan mara ke final.

“Masih sukar percaya, tapi ini pembakar semangat untuk final,” katanya melalui jurubahasa isyarat.

Beliau berjanji akan memberikan yang terbaik bersama rakan sepasukan.

Azlan Kuste yang menjadi pelari ketiga memohon doa seluruh rakyat Malaysia.

“Saya harap 4×400 yang terbaik, bantuan doa semua khususnya agar kami sentiasa sihat,” katanya.

Kuartet negara terdiri daripada Muhammad Zumar Azman, Muhammad Shahrul Azmer Azman, Azlan Kuste dan Raja Pecut Sukan SEA Pekak Muhammad Zamir Azman.

Mengikut format kelayakan, lapan kuartet layak ke final Isnin ini.

Tiga terbaik setiap saringan dan dua masa terpantas keseluruhan mara ke pusingan akhir.
