KUALA LUMPUR: Chin Hin Group Bhd officially launched its inaugural Chin Hin Green Day 2025, a flagship event that demonstrates the group’s strengthened commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable value creation across its businesses.
The event brought together experts and partners from the environmental, social and governance (ESG) sector and the built environment to exchange ideas, share innovations, and reaffirm collective action toward a greener future.
In his opening keynote address, Chin Hin group managing director Datuk Wira Chiau Haw Choon emphasised that its flagship Green Day event demonstrates its alignment and support for the nation’s sustainable development ambitions as well as broader global objectives, such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“At Chin Hin, we have always believed in building for the future. We integrate environmental responsibility into the very foundation of what we do – as part of our blueprint for future resilience, environmental stewardship, and our legacy.
“Our Green Day event supports that vision and provides a platform that brings together subject matter experts and knowledge partners to demonstrate visible actions taken by the Group to translate our commitment into real-world sustainable activities,” he said.
Chin Hin Green Day 2025 was designed around the first pillar, Educate & Inspire, featuring keynote sessions and expert panels centred on “Building Malaysia’s Greener Future.”
The discussions placed strong emphasis on the future of green buildings, sustainable materials, and energy-efficient construction as the foundation of Malaysia’s low-carbon transition.
The second pillar, Showcase & Collaborate, came to life through a comprehensive Green Product Showcase that highlighted solutions in energy conservation, waste management and recycling.
The event also featured demonstrative exhibits of Chin Hin’s sustainable innovations, offering attendees hands-on insight into practical applications shaping the next generation of green development.
The third pillar, Unite on the Journey Forward, aimed to reinforce organisational and stakeholder commitment to ESG practices.
This included a strong focus on adopting sustainable materials and championing responsible development, underscoring Chin Hin’s long-term dedication to driving meaningful environmental progress.
A highlight of the event was CoolPro, the group’s integrated energy-efficient building solution, which combines roof, wall, and glass technologies engineered to reduce thermal gain and meet overall thermal transfer value (OTTV) requirements.
Group CEO of Chin Hin Group Building Materials Division Ng Wai Luen said, “Our unique CoolPro offering underscores Chin Hin’s commitment to driving quality and innovation processes across the building materials and services ecosystem, creating a seamless and trustworthy experience for every Malaysian.”
In addition, CoolPro offers lower embedded carbon products and a reduced lifecycle carbon footprint compared to conventional construction materials.
As building materials are intrinsically linked to property development, Chin Hin Group Property CEO Chang Tze Yoong emphasised that the company’s commitment to delivering holistic, green, and energy-efficient buildings is central to its philosophy of responsible development.
