Eversendai bags RM323m in new contracts

PETALING JAYA: Eversendai Corp Bhd has secured six new projects worth RM323 million in Malaysia, India and Qatar, bringing the value of its order book to approximately RM1.87 billion.

In a Bursa filing, the group said the newly secured contracts include a structural steel link bridge connecting two buildings and structures for a retail leisure commercial project in Kuala Lumpur.

Eversendai has also secured the structural steel works for a commercial building project in Hyderabad, India, while in the Middle East it secured three new contracts in Qatar for a commercial building podium structure; a hotel and a mixed-use building project.

Executive chairman and group managing director Tan Sri AK Nathan said he is confident Eversendai will fortify its strengths and maintain sustainable growth going forward.

“As we move forward to new frontiers, we will continue to uphold our integrity, discipline, dedication and commitment in all our undertakings to maintain our position as the global niche market leader”, he said.

At the noon trading break, Eversendai shares were unchanged at 34 sen, with 91,800 shares done.
