Berjaya Assets names Tan Tee Ming, son-in-law of major shareholder Vincent Tan, as its new chief executive officer effective Jan 1, 2026.
KUALA LUMPUR: Berjaya Assets Bhd has appointed Tan Tee Ming as its new chief executive officer effective January 1, 2026.
The 49-year-old is the son-in-law of the company’s major shareholder, Tan Sri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun.
Tee Ming holds an indirect interest of 1.09 million ordinary shares in Berjaya Assets, according to a Bursa Malaysia filing.

He is also a brother-in-law of the company’s executive director, Chryseis Tan Sheik Ling.
Tee Ming holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from King’s College London.
He has over 16 years of experience managing wealth for high-net-worth individuals at several private banks in Malaysia and Singapore.
He was appointed senior general manager of Berjaya Land Bhd’s property sales and marketing division in March 2017.
Tee Ming later became an executive director of Berjaya Land in April 2022 before resigning from that role on December 31, 2025.
Berjaya Assets’ share price closed unchanged at 30 sen on Tuesday.
A total of 161,500 shares were traded, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM767.48 million.
In a separate filing, Berjaya Corporation Bhd announced the resignation of its executive director, Norlela Baharudin.
The 62-year-old resigned to pursue personal interests. – Bernama
