OpenSys sees 21% CRM growth by year end, secures two new banking clients

PETALING JAYA: OpenSys (M) Bhd projected a 21% growth in its deployment of cash recycling ATMs (CRMs), which will increase by 700 units to more than 4,200 installed units by the end of 2019.

The company also said that it has secured two new banking clients for its CRMs.

In a filing with the stock exchange, OpenSys said it has also secured major orders to upgrade the existing installed base from Windows 7 to the Windows 10 platform, which have a combined value of more than RM20 million.

“This technology upgrade is a mandatory industry compliance requirement that banks need to adhere to by the end of 2019, due to the end-of-life support of the Windows 7 platform by Microsoft.”

OpenSys stated that it is the first to implement a new smart client web user experience technology platform on its CRMs for a major bank nationwide.

The technology platform allows it to enable personalisation of services, cardless transactions, QR Pay and other digital services.

At the noon break, OpenSys shares were up 1.5% to 33 sen with 2,500 shares changing hands.
