Negeri Sembilan mohon peruntukan pembangunan koperasi ikut jejak Melaka

MELAKA: Negeri Sembilan akan mengikut jejak langkah Melaka dengan memohon peruntukan daripada kerajaan negeri bagi pembangunan koperasi pada bajet 2026. Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Bertindak Keusahawanan, Sumber Manusia, Perubahan Iklim, Koperasi dan Kepenggunaan Negeri Sembilan, S. Veerapan, berkata langkah itu penting untuk memastikan koperasi di negeri itu terus berkembang.

“Setakat ini tiada peruntukan disediakan kerajaan negeri untuk pembangunan koperasi di Negeri Sembilan, sebaliknya peruntukan yang diterima adalah daripada kerajaan Persekutuan menerusi Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) negeri,“ katanya.

Beliau menambah bahawa Melaka, walaupun negeri kecil, telah memperuntukkan dana untuk pembangunan koperasi melalui SKM negeri. “Kita akan mengikut jejak langkah itu kerana ia sebahagian daripada tanggungjawab kerajaan negeri,“ jelasnya.

Veerapan berkata pihaknya akan mendapatkan maklumat lanjut daripada SKM Negeri Sembilan mengenai keperluan peruntukan sebelum dibincangkan dalam sesi konsultasi bajet 2026.

Sehingga 31 Disember tahun lalu, Negeri Sembilan mempunyai 787 koperasi berdaftar dengan keahlian hampir 192,000 orang. Jumlah syer terkumpul mencecah RM123 juta, manakala nilai aset koperasi sebanyak RM404 juta dengan perolehan keseluruhan RM187 juta.

Dalam program yang sama, Veerapan menyaksikan penandatanganan memorandum persefahaman (MoU) antara Koperasi Gabungan Masjid-Masjid Negeri Melaka Berhad (Kogmas) dan Koperasi Kolej Vokasional Port Dickson Berhad. – Bernama
