Nanta: KKR akan semak projek kolam tempur Kem Iskandar sebelum kenakan denda

KUALA LUMPUR: Kementerian Kerja Raya (KKR) akan menyemak terlebih dahulu situasi projek pembinaan kolam selam tempur di Kem Iskandar, Mersing, Johor yang mengalami kelewatan sebelum mengenakan sebarang tindakan seperti denda atau penalti.

Menterinya Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi (gambar) berkata perkara itu perlulah mengikut peraturan yang telah ditetapkan.

“Kita tidak boleh sembarangan. Saya telah diberitahu oleh pegawai, projek itu akan siap pada bulan Jun nanti.

“Kita akan semak dulu dan pastikan apa yang perlu dilakukan sama ada denda atau tidak. Saya tidak boleh pastikan sekarang dan kena semak sebaik-baiknya supaya adil kepada semua pihak,” katanya kepada media pada Majlis Interaksi dan Sambutan Aidilfitri Lembaga Pembangunan Industri Pembinaan (CIDB) dan anak syarikat bersama industri di Pusat Konvensyen CIDB di sini hari.

Nanta berkata kementeriannya juga perlu menyemak kepada syarat-syarat kontrak mereka, jika pemaju ada menuntut sebarang kos tambahan.

“Kalau patut dibayar kita bayar…buat masa sekarang kita belum mendapat apa-apa juga rayuan daripada mereka, jadi buat masa sekarang kita boleh katakan tiada apa lagi. Kita tengok kalau dia (pemaju) tuntut apa-apa bayaran yang boleh melibatkan kenaikan kos…sepatutnya tidak ada,” katanya.

Semalam Nanta berkata KKR akan memastikan projek pembinaan kolam selam tempur di Kem Iskandar, yang mengalami kelewatan, siap sepenuhnya pada Jun ini.

Beliau telah dimaklumkan oleh pegawai KKR berhubung perkara berkenaan dan setakat ini, projek itu berbaki dua peratus sahaja yang belum siap seperti dinyatakan Kementerian Pertahanan sebelum ini.

Nanta berkata beliau akan mengadap Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim dalam masa terdekat, bagi menjelaskan isu kelewatan projek pembinaan kolam selam tempur itu dan siasatan terperinci mengenainya masih dijalankan untuk memberi keadilan kepada semua pihak terlibat.
