A Malaysian woman praises a dedicated convenience store worker for going “above and beyond” in making sure her daughter gets fried chicken item that was “out of stock”.
SOMETIMES, a little bit of kindness goes a long way, and a convenience store worker’s efforts to make a small difference recently proved just that, following praise from a Malaysian woman online.
Posted on Threads, the woman shared how a convenience store worker “went above and beyond” to ensure that her daughter could enjoy a fried chicken item that was initially said to be “out of stock.”
The location of the convenience store was said to be in Tanjung Malim, Perak.
“My daughter was quite disappointed and almost in tears. However, your staff member—who was incredibly busy handling both hot meal preparations and the cashier counter alone—went above and beyond,” she wrote.
The mother was deeply moved by the staff’s willingness to make her daughter happy, even while managing multiple tasks at once.
In the end, the mother prepared a token of appreciation for the staff and sent an email to the convenience store management to share her glowing praise of the thoughtful worker.
Netizens applauded the staff’s dedication and expressed hope that her efforts should be recognised by the store’s management.
“It’s nice to be appreciated at work. Back when I worked in F&B, even our small mistakes would quickly draw complaints. Rarely did anyone praise us when we tried our best to provide good service, even when we were busy and overwhelmed,” one user said.
A few commenters also said they had encountered the staff previously and praised her for her kindness and excellent customer service skills.
