UNEXPECTED kindness often manifests in the most ordinary moments; brief gestures from strangers that leave a lasting impact on those involved.
For one Malaysian family, a routine morning commute became an unforgettable experience when a lorry driver went out of his way to brighten their child’s day.
The baby’s mother, known as @nrlna.naa on social media, shared on the platform Threads that she was on her way to work with her child in the backseat when they stopped at a red light.
While waiting, she noticed the driver of a lorry in the adjacent lane repeatedly glancing at her baby.
“We were waiting at a traffic light, and the uncle driving the lorry next to us kept looking at my child. My husband rolled down the window, and my child looked back at him,” she wrote.
What happened next left the family speechless.

Without saying a word, the man climbed down from his lorry, walked over to their car and gently placed some money into the child’s hands.
He offered a warm smile before returning to his vehicle just as the lights changed.
“We were so surprised,” the mother stated in her post, which has since gone viral.
“But thank you, kind person. Doing good regardless of race. Alhamdulillah, my child is always surrounded by good people.
“Whoever reads this, please pray for this uncle, may all his affairs be made easy. Amin.”
