“Do you guys know how powerful our passport is? As a Malaysian, I’m super proud… it’s ranked number 11 in the world and top two in ASEAN. That’s because overseas, when immigration officers see that maroon color, they immediately smile. Not many questions, no drama. ‘You from Malaysia? Come, come — no problem and welcome!’” expressed thekimiehalim.
“From now on, when lining up at immigration overseas, I’m just going to hold my Malaysian passport proudly — no more keeping it in the bag. After all, it’s the third strongest passport in the world!” joked zolamyyy.
Some users on Threads also took the opportunity to remind fellow Malaysians to be extra careful with their passports to avoid cases of theft or loss while traveling abroad.
