Four injured after car rams motorcycles

GEORGE TOWN: Four men were injured after a car rammed their motorcycles at the traffic light junction of Jalan Bukit Gambir here today.

Timur Laut police acting chief Supt V. Saravanan said the accident at about 3 pm near the exit of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) heading towards Jalan Tun Dr Awang involved four cars and three motorcycles.

“The motorists were waiting at a red signal when the Perodua Myvi car driven by a 60-year-old woman failed to stop at the traffic lights and crashed into three cars and three motorcycles.

“Three motorcyclists, a pillion rider and the woman were injured while the drivers of the other cars escaped unhurt,” he said in a statement. –Bernama
