FOLLOWING the recent announcement by the Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyddin Yassin which required the nation to comply with a movement control order (MCO) that extends until April 14, the management of EkoCheras Mall has seen a great unfortunate impact towards its valued tenants and the retail industry.

“Throughout these challenging times, EkoCheras Mall has remained partially open to support the essentials such as supermarkets, pharmacies and F&B outlets with delivery and take away services to ensure that our tenants remain sustainable during this MCO period and our shoppers are able to get their daily necessities and food,” the mall said in a statement.

After the extension was announced recently, the management feels even more deeply towards its valued tenants’ predicament. Hence, after thorough deliberation, the management is allocating a budget of more than RM10 million which includes two months Rent Free period starting from March 1 to April 30 to all EkoCheras Mall tenants and also free parking to all shoppers till April 30.

With these moves, the management hopes to bring some comfort, ease and support to its valued tenants. In addition, the mall management has also increased the proximity of cleaning and sanitising throughout the mall.

“The wellbeing, sustainability and safety of our tenants, residents, shoppers and staff remain as EkoCheras Mall Management’s utmost priority,” it said.
