KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has returned to his duties in Putrajaya following his busy schedule chairing the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.
His Facebook post showing him signing documents with the hashtag #MADANIbekerja has garnered over 16,000 likes and more than 1,300 comments.
Facebook users expressed gratitude for his hard work while others advised him to maintain his health and diet.
Facebook user MK Syuhaira Ramly commented that even observing his schedule felt exhausting and wished him worldwide blessings.
Several Cambodian users including Sok Den, Mey Votey Morakot, Phala Sambath, Pov Moeun and En Meng appreciated Malaysia’s role in the KL Peace Accord between Thailand and Cambodia.
Sok Den specifically expressed Cambodian people’s gratitude to Anwar for bringing peace to their nation.
Firdaus Basri thanked Anwar for his exemplary leadership during the regional gatherings.
Abdul Azim prayed for the Prime Minister’s continued health and strength to serve the country effectively.
Anwar stated at the summit’s closing ceremony that Malaysia fulfilled its ASEAN Chair responsibilities with unity, patience and strong leadership.
This marked Malaysia’s fifth time chairing ASEAN since 1967 after previous terms in 2015, 2005, 1997 and 1977.
Malaysia officially handed over the ASEAN Chairmanship to the Philippines yesterday as its 2025 leadership term enters its final phase. – Bernama
