The TwentyTwo13 news portal co-founder reported the attack occurred while he was heading to his car this afternoon.
Another individual recorded the incident on a mobile phone during the assault.

Brickfields police chief ACP Hoo Chang Hook verified the report and confirmed investigations are ongoing.
“I can confirm that Haresh lodged a report, and an investigation is ongoing,” Hoo stated when contacted.
The Sportswriters Association of Malaysia condemned the assault on its member.
SAM president Norismadi Abdul Manap said the attack caused Haresh to suffer minor injuries.
“Any attack on a journalist is an extreme act that cannot be tolerated,” Norismadi said in a statement.
He urged prompt investigation to ensure media practitioners’ safety.
Gerakan Media Merdeka also denounced the attack as endangering journalists performing their duties.
The media freedom group said such attacks undermine the public’s right to accurate information.
