Two arrested for dangerous fireworks stunt from moving car

Police detain two locals, including a woman, for firing fireworks from a moving car’s sunroof in Shah Alam, seizing a vehicle and evidence

SHAH ALAM: Police have arrested two local individuals, including a woman, in connection with a dangerous incident involving fireworks being set off from a moving car’s sunroof.

The arrests of the 21 and 28-year-olds were made yesterday afternoon in the Sungai Buloh and Shah Alam Section 9 areas.

Shah Alam District Police Chief ACP Ramsay Embol said a Proton Satria car, two mobile phones, and firework sticks believed used in the case were seized to assist the investigation.

All individuals have been remanded for three days until Tuesday for further investigation.

Ramsay confirmed police are tracking several other suspects believed involved in the recent dangerous stunt around Persiaran Ficus, Section U15.

He said police received a report yesterday after a video of the incident went viral on social media, confirming it occurred in the Elmina Rainforest area.
