Eco Grandeur interchange opens to boost Selangor’s economy

The new expressway interchange promises to ease traffic and attract foreign investment to Kuala Selangor’s industrial corridor.

KUALA SELANGOR: The newly opened Eco Grandeur Interchange on the Kuala Lumpur–Kuala Selangor Expressway (LATAR) will deliver significant socio-economic benefits to the region.

Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the interchange provides enhanced connectivity for Eco Business Park V and Eco Grandeur residents to major highway networks including the Guthrie Corridor Expressway, West Coast Expressway and Damansara–Shah Alam Expressway.

“This new access will create fresh opportunities for communities along the west coast corridor,” he stated during the opening ceremony.

Nanta revealed that numerous foreign investors have already established operations in Eco Business Park V.

“Undoubtedly, this new alignment will make the area more accessible and a more attractive destination for investors, while further stimulating the industrial sector,” he added.

Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari and EcoWorld chief executive officer Datuk Chang Khim Wah also attended the event.

Located at kilometre 7.50 between Ijok and Puncak Alam interchanges, the interchange was developed by EcoWorld to serve the mixed development areas of Eco Business Park V and Eco Grandeur in Mukim Ijok.

Nanta confirmed the new route will alleviate persistent traffic congestion along Jalan Meru Tambahan and Persiaran Mokthar Dahari.

Amirudin described the interchange as a gateway to boosting economic prosperity in Selangor’s Northern Corridor.

The 3.07-kilometre route will function as a continuation of the alignment specifically connecting Ijok and Kuala Selangor. – Bernama
