Mohd Na’im bids farewell to staff after cabinet reshuffle

Former minister Mohd Na’im Mokhtar says he has no immediate plans and will perform umrah after being dropped from the new cabinet.

PUTRAJAYA: Former minister Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar bid farewell to staff at the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) and the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) today.

He arrived at the Islamic Complex here at approximately 8.20 am and was greeted by personnel, including his political secretary Dr Muhamad Razak Idris.

Mohd Na’im stated he has no immediate plans and intends to take a break.

“God willing, I will perform the umrah soon,” he told reporters.

He was dropped from the new cabinet announced yesterday by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
