Pahang Sultan donates RM60,000 to national athletes welfare foundation

Sultan of Pahang contributes RM60,000 to YAKEB and RM40,000 to former football players during the “Walk With Al-Sultan Abdullah” event.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has donated RM60,000 to the National Athletes Welfare Foundation (YAKEB).

The contribution was made through Yayasan Sultan Abdullah during the “Walk With Al-Sultan Abdullah: The King of Sports” event at Stadium Merdeka.

His Royal Highness also presented RM40,000 to the Association of Former State and National Football Players.

The donations serve as a gesture of concern and appreciation for the services of the nation’s sports heroes.

ShekhinahPR Chief Executive Officer Datuk Christopher Raj described the event as a meaningful success.

“We are truly grateful for the success of this event and hope that former national athletes feel the appreciation they deserve for their contributions,” he said.

Raj added that the presence of Their Royal Highnesses made the occasion even more special.

The royal initiative reflects deep gratitude towards the nation’s sports heroes.

The event at Stadium Merdeka symbolises national pride and the collective journey of Malaysians.
