Flood mitigation and water supply coordination in parliament today

Parliament to discuss flood mitigation projects and water supply coordination mechanisms during today’s Dewan Rakyat session

KUALA LUMPUR: Flood mitigation projects and cross-agency coordination for clean water supply will dominate today’s parliamentary session.

According to the Order Paper on Parliament’s website, Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man will question the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation about integrating green infrastructure into flood mitigation projects.

He seeks details on strategic measures ensuring these projects remain cost-effective, resilient, and beneficial to the public.

Riduan Rubin will ask the same ministry about coordination mechanisms guaranteeing uninterrupted clean water supply during floods and natural disasters.

His question includes inquiries about logistical equipment capabilities for delivering water efficiently to rural and remote communities.

Syerleena Abdul Rashid will direct her question to the Digital Minister regarding plans for continuing initiatives under the expiring 2021-2025 National Blockchain Roadmap.

She will also inquire about potential regulatory frameworks or legislation governing asset tokenisation processes.

Datuk Mohd Shahar Abdullah will question the Education Minister about government spending on preschool education compared to other educational levels.

His query includes how much allocation focuses on developing teacher talent, particularly regarding the updated Early Childhood Care and Education curriculum.

Following the question-and-answer session, the Dewan Rakyat will resume debating the 2026 Supply Bill at the policy stage.

The Third Meeting of the Fourth Session of the 15th Parliament continues for 35 days until December 4. – Bernama
