Jalan Tun Sardon in Penang will reopen at 8 pm tonight after landslide clearance, with slope protection work still ongoing

GEORGE TOWN: Jalan P14 Jalan Tun Sardon will reopen to traffic starting at 8 pm tonight after being closed since October 23 due to a landslide.
State Infrastructure, Transport and Digital Committee chairman Zairil Khir Johari confirmed that rock breaking and debris removal work was successfully completed by 5 pm today.
The Penang Public Works Department worked tirelessly to clear the road for public use with only minor finishing tasks remaining.
He noted that installation of protective canvas over the collapsed slope has reached only 70 per cent completion and continues on site.
