Kinabatangan police personnel vote early after night shifts, with indelible ink on little fingers due to recent state election marks.
KINABATANGAN: Police personnel who had just completed night shift duties fulfilled their civic responsibility as early voters in the Kinabatangan by-elections today.
Insp Siti Hajar Mohd Taupek arrived straight from her shift to vote at the Teratak IPD Kinabatangan centre, which opened at 8 am.
“I have just finished my night shift this morning, and before going home to rest, I came straight here to cast my vote,” she told Bernama.
Cpl Sophia Lim Ian Ian also did not let fatigue prevent her from voting.

She noted that voters were using their little fingers for the indelible ink, as their index fingers still bore marks from the Sabah state election last November.
The Kinabatangan parliamentary by-election is a three-cornered contest involving Barisan Nasional, Warisan, and an Independent candidate.
The Lamag state seat is a straight fight between BN and Warisan.
The by-elections were called following the death of incumbent Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin on December 5 last year.
The Kinabatangan parliamentary constituency has 48,722 registered voters across three state seats.
The Lamag state constituency has 13,899 voters.
Polling day for both by-elections is set for this Saturday. – Bernama
