Chief Minister Hajiji Noor has unveiled his new Sabah state cabinet, maintaining the three-deputy structure with key portfolios assigned to senior leaders.
KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has formed his new state cabinet following the 17th state election. The new line-up retains the structure of appointing three Deputy Chief Ministers.
Hajiji was sworn in early Sunday morning. The remaining 10 cabinet members took their oaths of office this afternoon at Istana Seri Kinabalu before the Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Musa Aman.
Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam is Deputy Chief Minister I, holding the Works and Utilities portfolio. Datuk Masidi Manjun is Deputy Chief Minister II and Minister of Finance.
Datuk Ewon Benedick is Deputy Chief Minister III, overseeing Industry, Entrepreneurship and Transport. The other ministers are Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif (Local Government and Housing) and Datuk Jamawi Jaafar (Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry).
Datuk Rubin Balang is the Minister of Rural Development. Datuk James Ratib takes charge of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation.
Datuk Jafry Ariffin is the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment. Datuk Julita Mojungki heads the Ministry of Women, Health and Community Well-being.
Datuk Nizam Titingan is the Minister of Youth Development, Sports Advancement and Creative Economy.
