Motion to suspend Takiyuddin Hassan set to heat up final parliament sitting

A motion to suspend Kota Bharu MP Takiyuddin Hassan for six months is expected to dominate the final day of the Dewan Rakyat sitting.

KUALA LUMPUR: The final day of the Dewan Rakyat sitting is expected to be tense with a motion to suspend Kota Bharu MP Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan for six months.

According to the Order Paper, the motion by the Home Minister will be tabled after the oral question-and-answer session.

The motion states Takiyuddin, during a debate on October 22, spoke about a Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) incident at Masjid Rusila in Marang.

It notes he linked the incident to the 1985 Memali incident, casting a negative light on the MMEA’s personnel and reputation.

During Ministers’ Question Time, Sim Tze Tzin will ask about support for those ageing out of the youth category next year.

Datuk Dr Ku Abd Rahman Ku Ismail will ask the Human Resources Minister about the Progressive Wage Policy’s progress.

Abdul Latiff Abdul Rahman will ask about Tabung Haji depositors declining haj offers from 2015 to 2025.

The Third Meeting of the Fourth Session ran for 35 days beginning on October 6. – Bernama
