A married couple and an RMAF member plead not guilty to submitting a false RM24,200 quotation for LIMA 2025 equipment supply.
SHAH ALAM: A married couple and a Royal Malaysian Air Force member pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today to charges of submitting a false quotation for LIMA 2025 equipment procurement.
Citra Angrini Alam Mappiase, 36, her husband Shahrul Nizam Shaf’in, 51, and Mohamad Amir Bakri Che Abdul, 32, entered their pleas before Judge Datuk Mohd Nasir Nordin.
The charge alleges Citra Angrini deceived the Chief of Staff of the Air Operations Command Headquarters in Subang by submitting a false quotation from Protective Trading & Advisory Services valued at RM24,200.
This action allegedly prompted a Major General to approve D Draxis Group Sdn Bhd as the supplier of support equipment for the LIMA25 assignment.
Shahrul Nizam, a Principal Assistant Secretary at the Defence Industry Division, and Mohamad Amir, an RMAF corporal, were charged with abetting Citra Angrini in committing the offence.
Citra Angrini and Shahrul Nizam were charged with committing the offence at a premises in Kota Damansara on May 13 this year.
Mohamad Amir was charged with committing the offence at MPOU Subang on the same date.
All three defendants were charged under Section 417 of the Penal Code for cheating.
Shahrul Nizam and Mohamad Amir faced additional charges under Section 109 of the Penal Code for abetment.
They face a maximum prison sentence of five years or a fine, or both, if convicted.
The court granted Citra Angrini bail of RM8,000 with one surety.
Shahrul Nizam and Mohamad Amir received bail set at RM7,000 each with one surety.
The court also ordered all defendants to surrender their passports and report monthly to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
They were prohibited from intimidating witnesses in the case.
Judge Mohd Nasir Nordin set December 8 for the next mention of the case.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Alis Izzati Azurin Mohd Rusdi from MACC appeared for the prosecution.
Lawyer Muhammad Nazreen Jaafar Abdullah represented the married couple in court.
