Vietnam pursues rapid growth for sustainable and inclusive economy

Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh outlines economic vision focusing on digital transformation and ASEAN cooperation at ABIS 2025

KUALA LUMPUR: Vietnam aims to pursue rapid economic growth while building a more sustainable and inclusive economy according to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

He stated the country focuses on fostering global integration and enhancing resilience through sustainable international economic participation.

Digital transformation represents an objective demand and strategic priority for Vietnam’s development.

Consistent mindset and action will play key roles in aligning Vietnam’s economic connectivity.

Chinh shared these views during the Leader Fireside Chat session at the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2025.

The session occurred at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre alongside the 47th ASEAN Summit.

Vietnam strives to enhance digital competence among its people under General Secretary To Lam’s leadership.

Everyone in Vietnam needs digital skilling and reskilling to reap transformation benefits according to Chinh.

Resource stems from mindset and drives transformation forming a crucial foundation for development.

Chinh urged ASEAN as a regional bloc to develop and strengthen governance institutions and capacity building.

Experience sharing and mutual learning shall create collective ASEAN strength for regional development.

Each nation can harness this strength thereby contributing to the broader region’s advancement.

Chinh joined other ASEAN leaders at the summit opening ceremony by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

The high-level regional meeting gathered more than 3,000 delegates from over 30 countries and organisations.
