Pang Ron-Su Yin advance, Jimmy-Pei Jing fall in Indonesia Masters

Malaysian mixed doubles pair Pang Ron-Su Yin win their first-round match at the Indonesia Masters, while teammates Jimmy-Pei Jing are eliminated

NATIONAL mixed doubles pair Hoo Pang Ron and Cheng Su Yin progressed to the second round of the 2026 Indonesia Masters today.

The world number 20 Malaysian duo defeated Thailand’s Phuwanat Horbanluekit and Benyapa Aimsaard 13-21, 21-6, 21-17 at Istora Senayan.

They will next face either China’s Guo Xin Wa and Chen Fang Hui or Taiwan’s Liu Kuang Heng and Jheng Yu Chieh.

Meanwhile, the campaign for fellow Malaysians Jimmy Wong and Lai Pei Jing (pic) ended in the first round.

The pair lost to Indonesian opponents Dejan Ferdinansyah and Bernadine Anindya Wardana 10-21, 17-21.
