Immigration FC secure crucial away win against Melaka in Super League

Immigration FC beat Melaka FC 2-0 in a Super League match, moving up to ninth place with 12 points after their third win of the season.

IMMIGRATION FC earned a vital 2-0 away victory over Melaka FC in a Super League match at Stadium Hang Jebat.

The win provided three crucial points, marking the team’s third triumph of the season.

Head coach Yusri Che Lah expressed gratitude for the result despite a shaky start from his players in the opening 10 minutes.

“Alhamdulillah, this was a win we were truly looking for and we finally managed to collect three points here,” he told reporters.

He praised his players for regaining control and scoring two goals through strong commitment and fine build-up play.

Eduardo Jose Sosa Vegas opened the scoring in the 24th minute by capitalising on a rebound from a Joao Pedro Boeira Duarte attempt.

Joao Pedro then doubled the lead in the 30th minute, securing a comfortable 2-0 advantage that lasted until full-time.

Melaka FC head coach K Devan cited defensive frailties as a key factor in the loss, making a comeback difficult after conceding.

He added that the club has submitted proposals to management to bring in quality players to strengthen key positions, particularly in midfield and attack.

The victory lifts Immigration FC to ninth place in the league standings with 12 points.

Melaka FC remains in 12th place with six points.
