MFL confirms two Super League clubs, Kelantan TRW and PDRM FC, are facing salary arrears cases and have been instructed to submit payment proof
THE Malaysian Football League has confirmed that two Super League clubs are facing cases involving outstanding player salary arrears.
Kelantan The Real Warriors FC and bottom-placed PDRM FC are the clubs involved, according to an MFL statement.
The Financial Fair Play First Instance Body instructed Kelantan TRW on November 14 to submit proof of payment or a payment plan by December 31.
The salary arrears for Kelantan relate to wages for the 2024–2025 season under the club’s previous ownership.
No outstanding salaries have been recorded so far for the 2025–2026 season, the league said.
PDRM FC, also facing salary arrears for the current season, have been instructed to submit the required FFP documents before the stipulated deadline.
Any decisions regarding the salary arrears cases involving both clubs will be deliberated at an upcoming FFP FIB meeting.
MFL added that it is working closely with the Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia in addressing the cases.
This collaboration is being done through the implementation of the FFP framework.
After 13 matches, Kelantan TRW sit 11th in the league standings with 11 points.
PDRM FC remain rooted to the bottom with just six points.
In November, both clubs were fined RM70,000 each and handed transfer bans for the second transfer window.
The bans were imposed after they failed to comply with MFL directives to submit declarations on salary arrears and required financial reports.
The second Malaysia League transfer window opens this month.
